Erin Jaeger-Freeborn is a New Zealand based artist originally from Canada. Erin has exhibited throughout Canada and Australia in galleries, residencies, site specific work and group performative works.

Erin’s recent work utilizes found objects and accumulated materials. With these accumulated objects she creates an environment for exploration. Erin creates other worldly forms that could be a toilet paper roll or a alien egg. Erin has traditionally worked in plexiglass, resin and other plastic forms but has recently moved towards waste products and repurposing objects. While she has a great love of the versatility of plastic the current state of the climate has greatly changed Erin’s goals with her artwork.

Talks with Sweet-Gallery work in VANS, NS

Talks with Sweet is a series of works created by artist Erin Jaeger-Freeborn for her solo show in Nova Scotia, Canada.  The work examines the beauty of accumulated materials, forming undulating shapes that mimic both waves and  pixelated images.  The large scale of the works composed of so many tiny pieces gives the viewer a sense of time and movement.
